The opportunity

A contiguous onshore position in a proven petroleum system

The asset

One contiguous block, one work programme

Because the acreage is contiguous, the same geological trends can be followed across the licence area — with land access, logistics and survey sequencing under our own control.

The licence is a single, contiguous onshore exploration position in Ghana’s Western Cape Basin, worked as one integrated survey and interpretation programme.

Ghana is an established petroleum jurisdiction with a mature regulatory framework, an experienced local service sector and a long history of partnership with international operators — which materially reduces the non-technical risk carried by an early-stage position.

Specific coordinates, licence terms and commercial arrangements are shared with qualified investors under confidentiality.

Technical case

What the work to date supports

Our position is built on converging lines of evidence, not a single dataset.

Regional pedigree

The acreage sits within a basin with demonstrated source, reservoir and trap, adjacent to established commercial discoveries.

Reconnaissance results

Surface reconnaissance and fluid sampling have returned hydrocarbon indications consistent with a light, low-sulphur crude character.

Multi-physics coverage

Airborne and ground survey coverage is being built across the block rather than concentrated on a single lead.

Ranked prospect inventory

Interpretation is directed at producing a ranked, drillable prospect inventory — the deliverable that unlocks Phase 2.

Audit-ready structure

Data is captured and documented for independent competent-person review as volumes move towards classification.

Staged capital exposure

The programme is phased so that each tranche of capital is released against completed technical milestones.

Investor note

An honest statement of stage

Tano Petroleum is an exploration company. There is no production, no reserve booking and no revenue today.

We think that is the point. Investors who enter at exploration stage take technical risk in exchange for a position that cannot be bought once a discovery is announced. Our job is to reduce that technical risk methodically, document it transparently, and report progress against a published phase plan.
